I was wrong about the 7 MSU players, it was 6. But there were only 4 LSU players on that side of the field. Of two in the middle, only Adams got close to being involved and the up man (Donte Jackson?) didn't even start moving until the ball was on it's way down. That's not 6 on that side if they can't get there in time. The two behind the first two are in no mans land if they are supposed to screen, so you have 2 on 6, or you have 4 on 6 with no one back to recover.
The biggest problem I have is the two LSU players closest to the sideline (up and back) are watching the ball and not even looking to screen MSU players. They got wiped out. Even worse, they turned their backs on the oncoming MSU players, but that's because they were watching the ball and it took that excellent bounce.
Only the two just inside are looking to screen and neither hit anyone until the ball had bounced, way too late for that assignment. Extremely horrible design, coaching, or execution... or all.
