Yeah, we a good ways behind, but compared to where we were even two years ago and compared to much of the country, I think we are doing pretty damn good.

Agreed, between more breweries entering the state and local breweries stepping up their game, Louisiana has come a long way.

There was a time where there wasn't a good locally produced Pale Ale.

I can agree with this. My Oregon-Louisiana trades used to consist of me sending a bunch of Oregon beers down south for Good People, Karbach, Cigar City, Westbrook, Surly, Cantillon, St Arnold, and other non-Louisiana beers - with an occasional Parish Grand Reserve thrown in.

I am now happy to report that I get mainly LA beers and am very satisfied with that. I have friends up here who look forward to me recieving a package from Louisiana. Envie, Devil's Harvest and Ghost would do very well up here or in any market in the US, for that matter.
