He is not a FS. He needs to be in the box but he isn't as good as Adams. We need to get someone else out there across from Adams, maybe Battle.

He has played well.

This can be said of every safety in cfb.

Yes him and D. Thomas are a second late on a few of those passes in the 2nd half. But like someone posted earlier D. Jackson was picked on in last game. We will see better coverage next game for sure

I think Battle ought to come in for obvious passing situations because he is just better in coverage based on what we've seen, but Jefferson is more or less holding his own.

Inadequate many plays, with just enough plays to create the perception he will be good enough to start for tough games, and then his questionable pass coverage "skills" are a risk. Hopefully he can improve in this important area.

He saved Tolliver's arse in the end zone when he was beat...That's what a safety does.

The best safety package just may be Jefferson/Battle. Battle covers better than either Jeff or Adams and Jefferson is a much surer tackler than Adams. Jefferson would create havoc if placed in the box and blitzed but he largely is kept in coverage (a big waste considering this is his weak area). Adams is good, has the most potential of the group and thus belongs on the field, but seems to put more energy in celebrating being the 3rd assist on a tackle rather than actually making plays...severely over rated.

along with 99% of the rest of the safeties I CFB. Maybe you would prefer Dewayne Thomas?

RJ is however one of the teams top 5 tackle leaders. If he had one more tackle he would be tied for 2nd on team. He is the leader on the team in Solo tackles and has one of our teams 3 int's

Battle is coming on and will continue to get more PT.
