He's got the bumps, but not the counting stats yet.

I don't see any way he gets in with less than about 2,300 hits-- and that's still a very steep hill to climb at this point in his career.

He's sitting at 1700 at age 33.. He's the type of player that usually tries to play till 40 which is 6 seasons.. Take a full season for his usual dl stints and he's looking at an additional 750 hits on the low end.. He'll probably be in the 2600-2700 range if he doesn't have a catastrophic injury.. He will be close but definetly in the mix for a HOF spot.
