Not much help as I went to Acadia 15 to 20 years ago. We flew into Portland and stayed a few nights in Bar Harbor at a hotel in walking distance of the marina/downtown area. Highlight of the area was sea kayaking around the islands outside of Bar Harbor. We took a guided trip from one of the outfitters in BH.
