Not sure but it's kind of weird that he sent that cryptic tweet out earlier in the week and he's a healthy scratch. That's an expensive inactive player. To me, against a team like Oakland, you would want Spiller in there. Maybe he is getting traded and they didn't want to risk injury.

dear god Eli is going to rape us with Cruz and Beckham. If CJ is getting traded we can only pray it's for a somewhat decent corner or a defensive lineman that can at least pressure the QB

This was my thought yesterday as well. Nothing else makes sense. Why keep him on the roster at that salary if your plan is to keep him inactive? Especially since he was one who was rumored to be a potential cut. I can see it as a trade agreement is close or already made, so they were protecting him from injury.
