What's the easiest way to keep up with updates on rooted stock? Root/unlock kills OTA, right? I'm used to dirty flashing for custom ROMs.
Keeps the phone super fast and battery life improves and half the crappy apps I installed but never use go away again.
I know that doesn't work for everyone but my phone always seems to get sluggish after awhile and s factory OS update solves that problem every time.
Eta yes I have to balance the hassle of root and losing OTA with the apps that require it. AdAway is one of those things that once you're used to it you can never be happy without it.

Learn to use fastboot. A ROM upgrade takes 3-4 mins every month when they do the security updates.
For example: download and unzip ROM from Google into a folder with adb/fastboot stuff in it.
Fastboot flash system
Fastboot flash vendor
Fastboot flash radio/bootloader/whatever else needs updating.
Really easy. There is a great thread on XDA with basic fastboot guide
