What about doe scent and things like that? Should I do all the same things I would do in November?

I don't think doe scent helps this early. If you have mineral licks, you may wanna stay close. Deer are still using them regularly early in the season.

Can't hurt I guess but I it depends on your target. B&C bucks are freakishly smart, so if that's what you're after you need to take everyday advantage. I've had younger deer damn near walk up to my stand/feeder even though they most likely could hear and smell me. They're just younger and predictable.

No no and no! Wanna know what's the best scent???? NO SCENT! Big boys don't get big cause their dumb or fooled easily. Hunt the wind, NO scent, quiet entry and exit to stand! Do this and you'll get him..... Don't and you'll be chasing him again next year if no one else smokes him with a rifle during rut.
