He was ok with being fired. Reday to move on, knew his time had come and gone, then F Alexander throws his an unwanted lifeline for PR purposes.


He was ready to retire be fired last year.

I think he was ready to get bumped last year and become a colorful ex-coach with a ring and a national reputation. However, it is hard to give up $15m and for competitive guys, they always want to go out on top. Sadly, Les (and Cam) don't know how to do that anymore.

I've heard this line of reasoning before. That Miles is ready to do something else.

It kind of makes sense. Give it one last shot with all this talent on his team. If it works, great, if not, ok, time to do something else.

I think the tell-tale sign was his opening at SEC Media days where he spent the first 10 minutes or whatever talking about everything but football.
