Is there anywhere to get help with CouchPotato?

Is there anywhere I can get help with CouchPotato? I've visited the CouchPota.to forums several times but that place isn't much help. In particular I'm having trouble getting the renamer to work.

Is it not working at all or improperly naming them?

It got the folder name correct once but totally muffed up the movie name lol. A second time it just messed up the entire thing, I got a series of numbers. The other 4 or 5 times I've tried it since I started running this thing it just created a folder in the final destination directory with the exact same name of the file as it appeared on the download.

What OS are you running it on? And what downloader?
I'm really not sure if those things matter, but I had some trouble getting the renamer to work under Linux using couchpotato with sabnzbd. The only real tip I can give you is to inspect couchpotato's logs. In my case, I think the problem ended up being it had trouble with renaming because I was trying to use the same directory as the source and destination (to just rename in place), and couchpotato didn't like that. Also, I fiddled with the couchpotato settings regarding sabnzbd (I unchecked "delete failed"). I'm not sure if that was related to my troubles, but things seemed to work better after I did that.

I'm running it under Ubuntu 16.04 downloading with NZBGet.
I tried that rename in place as well lol.
At this point I'm considering just using a different media manager all together but I don't know what other ones exist.

quote:As far as I know, there are no real alternatives to couchpotato. When it was giving me trouble, I looked and couldn't find anything. Thankfully, though, since I got the renaming issue sorted it hasn't really given me any trouble.

Have you looked through the logs to try to figure out the problem?

I looked at the logs and the only renaming issue I could find was "need to add 'cd' to renamer, force adding for now."
And I don't really know where I would add that. I've read a bunch of configuring how-tos and just don't see where it would go lol. Besides that it says it is adding it by force. It works well for handling my want list so there's that lol

Looks like NZBGet creates a folder to put the files in when it downloads them and CouchPotato isn't looking inside the folders to find the files. I moved a file into the root directory then refreshed it manually and it created an ignore.this.file text document because it couldn't figure out the name...Even though it pulled metadata and poster art. lol.
