PSA if you are in need of a new vehicle

My in laws lost everything in the flood (like so many others) including both vehicles. They are old and don't want to deal with any of this, so I call around to dealerships trying to get them info so they can make an informed decision. They like the Camry so I focus mainly on Toyota dealerships. The best deal to be had by far was in Brookhaven Ms. Local dealers from BR to Slidell couldn't touch their deal. The best part is the dealership delivered the car to my house (where my Inlaws are staying). They are VERY happy with their new purchase all around.
TLDR; if you need a new vehicle call Toyota dealership in Brookhaven Ms. Best price was found there.

So they bought a car without even driving it?

Had to replace my truck that was flooded...
Local inventory has been lacking since the insurance checks have started rolling in and the local dealers are not budging off MSRP and only offering factory rebates.
I drove to Alabama this morning for a 2016 Silverado that I negotiated the price of over the phone- the dealership there was offering the same $7500 factory rebate, but also came down off MSRP nearly $5k... Well worth the drive and they had more inventory to choose from.
Also was considering flying up to St. Louis to buy from Laura Buick GMC- no one around could touch their prices. May be worth a look if you're looking for a new BUick or GMC.
The chevy dealer I purchased from was Terry Thompson in Daphne- very nice people to work with.

Its like here in Mobile... these GM vehicles here are so overpriced yet you go up to Bay Minette, the same cars and trucks are $2,000 to as much as $5,500 cheaper... for only driving 20 miles north!

Sent my girlfriend to Houston to get her SUV. She saved about 3K off New Orleans area prices.

I just purchased a new Tacoma from Toyota of Slidell and was very satisfied. After going to dealerships in NOLA area and BR, Slidell took the cake.
Car salesmen are still dirt dicks, you should be ashamed of yourself if you are one. I would respect you more if you worked at McDonalds.
