I have several of the Gracie Academies around the area and I think they have kickboxing and BJJ. What about age suggestions?

I am a Gracie BJJ instructor. I would go and check them out is the best advice I can give you unless you tell me what area you live and maybe I could give you a recommendation from there. We are still a relatively new martial art and if they are a Gracie school, we can still trace our roots back to the source.

You should be looking for a school that has separate kids classes and obviously one that has instructors that are good with kids. It's pretty easy to know you are in the right school just by looking at how they interact with the kids. It's kinda of an unwritten rule that the kids classes pay the bills and the adults classes pad the wallet, so it pays to be good with the kiddos.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to go take a look at them in person soon.
