Tae Kwon Do all the way buddy. It is a beautiful art. Find a dojo where they teach ITF style not WTF and practice full contact sparring. ITF is more Shotokan inspired and focuses on punches and kicks equally and is aimed more towards self defense. WTF is the style they do in the Olympics, nothing but flashy spinning kicks, it is sport TKD not really good for self defense or kicking arse.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA/ground fighting is trashy if not borderline gay.
