Sorry if Germans.

Two rifles that are just about evenly priced. I have been reading reviews on both of them, can't come to a decision though.

What say the OB baws?

TIA

This question comes up a lot but I think the main differences:

Ruger has a 1:8 barrel twist;
Ruger has a machined front sight block rather than cast;
S&W has an integrated trigger guard;
Ruger's handguard has a proprietary threaded delta ring;
S&W has a better factory trigger;
Both have about the same profile barrel;

You can't go wrong with either one. I lean Ruger because of the barrel twist but the accuracy from the S&W has gotten stellar reviews in tests regardless of ammo. So I would say it's a wash.

I was debating also and went with the M&P sport ll. No regrets here it was fun to shoot right out of the box!

My local shop has the Sport II for $600 with 5 32 round magazines. Curious to what it is in your neck of the woods.
