Not really. Fournette is not a huge threat in the passing game. Can he catch? Yes, but he doesn't have "great hands." He is a downhill runner and doesn't have the same initial shiftiness that Guice does, which allows Guice to be more effective in dump-off situations. Guice is also amazing at shedding tacklers, which helps. Making the first defender miss on a dump-off or screen is huge.

Fournette's hands have never been questioned. He has always been known as having excellent hands. How many passes have you seen him drop? Check out the great catches of the few passes he has received. I know Guice is considered as having excellent hands because of his performance in the high school all star game. But Fornette has great hands as well.

To sit here and act like Fournette does everything better is just silly. They are different types of backs, they have different strengths and weaknesses. Fournette doesn't have to be best at everything to be the best all-around back.

I never said Guice was not better than Fournette in any aspect. My question was which? I do not agree that his hands are better than Fournette's. Nor his speed or power. I do agree he is shiftier. But that is not to say Fournette is not shifty like some posters have stated in the past. He can make tacklers miss as well. However, Guice has elusiveness on a higher level. Again this is not downplaying Guice. He is a great back. However, a number of posters have downplayed Fournette's ability. I guess because he is so highly rated. His freshman year there were those who claimed he didn't run hard, he was not elusive, he had no vision and that Williams was a better back. I guess when you are the best there are some who try to find your faults.

i have been bragging on Guice to friends in other states since last year. I tell them we have one just as good backing up Fournette.
