Last years poor secondary play was more about poor scheme than it was the learning curve. I'm sure there will still be a few blown coverages, but expect us to be in the top 3 in the sec in passing yards per game.

Last years poor pass defense centered on lack of pressure on the QB. When the QB has less time to pick you apart then their offensive effectiveness goes down and their options go down. To make matters worse we were not that good on run defense either but better than pass defense.

Everyone has heard the term coverage sack due to the QB not having anywhere to throw the ball. The opposite effect is that the DB's look real good when the DL is chasing the QB all over the field and driving his head in the ground 5-6 times a game
