There were blown coverages all over the place last year because Steele was trying to run a 4000 level Saban defense instead starting off at the 1000 level.

This. We had no intermediate passing game last year to speak of. We put ourselves in lots 3rd and longs as a result. Now I don't know how much of that is on Harris vs how much is on the offensive scheming, but it's an issue that has to be resolved if the offense is going to show any meaningful improvement.
