MLS teams seem to have much smaller stadiums if they don't share one with an NFL team.....but they also seem to be in much larger markets. Would be cool to have one in Louisiana though.
Not to rehash the same old shite....but a lot of companies left New Orleans in the 1970's and 1980's. The oil crunch stunted growth in three of the state largest metros. Had those things not happened, a lot would be massively different today.

I didn't see it mentioned but you also have to consider that MLB has daytime games in the SUMMER. It's hard to pack a stadium when it is 9 million degrees and 115% humidity outside. That would be a major issue in NOLA.
