I imagine the dealer's insurance will cover your car. IMO, it's the fault of the OEM (Toyota?) for your car being in the shop for so long. They are the ones using bad parts/suppliers. I'd be shocked if they didn't offer you some kind of discount on a new Toyota for your trouble.

Really tough break for the dealerships that flooded.

A few questions.

Has anyone heard of any area dealers giving special financing if you lost your vehicle? I was looking at Sequioas but I have asked everyone and their brother at Yota if they were giving any special incentive, 0%, a free oil change, anything, and the reply is 3 months first payment deferred. I am not worried about that plus several others are offering that.

Is the insurance amount taxable on a new car? In other words, 50k car - 25k ins, taxed on 50 or the balance? I assume 50.
