Nebraska is no longer relevant. Notre Dame is barely relevant after being completely irrelevant for 15 years or more. They're using bogus criteria. History matters, but it matters less than recent success. Titles won in the 2000's should carry more weight than titles won in the 1970's, which should carry more weight than titles won in the 1920's.
By their metric, Minnesota should be in the conversation. They were absolutely dominant before WWII. Hell, why not Yale?
