I think a #9 ranking is appropriate. Immediately after reading the title of the thread, my reaction was that LSU was a solid top 15 , and I figured we'd be around #12. I kind of expected Penn State and FSU would be ahead of us. However, after looking at the list, I do not believe we belong in the top 8, but I can now certainly agree with a #9 ranking. FSU prior to Bobby Bowden was insignificant. The same can be said of Florida prior to Spurrier. Frankly , I had no idea PSU had only 2 national titles. What really helps us is Billy Cannon and the 1958 title.

But what FSU did between 1987 and 2001 has never been equaled... All those years finishing in the top 5 is an amazing stat.... And I don't care WHO you play.......
