SUV and normal driving. No off roading or towing or anything like that.

Not 4 wheel drive either: all wheel drive.

Much depends on what you want out of it. I was looking for performance and originally wanted rwd. I found that AWD can greatly impact driving performance even on dry pavement, with the right system. With Acura's system you definitely feel the difference on twisty roads or powering through turns (I have a prior generation TL with awd and manual trans). I guess that's why the call it "super handling" awd.

Even a quick turn at an intersection is fun, and cloverleaf onramps are a hoot, with your right foot helping to steer the car. It's fun even in the rain (but doesn't do a thing to help you stop).

But yes, it costs more to buy and maintain, and fuel economy is a bit lower.
