With any relative certainty, yes.

ETA: There does seem to be a consensus among the models that this thing will get into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico. Whether or not it is recognizable as a tropical system or simply a disorganized blob is yet to be determined.

System is toast. Sorry for the let down. This will not become a hurricane and likely not even a tropical storm. Go back to your business. So many disappointed I'm sure.

I'll never understand this kind of post. An interest in the weather =/= disappointment if/when a tropical system fails to develop.

My Prediction:

This will be the longest thread in OT history if the wave turns into a hurricane and moves to middle of the GOM.

Tiger butt - are you saying that no one should be concerned if this system comes in and moves up south SE La and dumps a signicsnt amount of moister in our area simply brcause it doesn't make TS orHurricane status?

This 12z GFS run should be interesting. The 6z run basically eliminated the low and then it reappeared a day or two later, spun inconspicuously near the Florida panhandle and gradually strengthened, and then took it across the middle of Florida into the Atlantic.

Come on...you know there are a few people (mostly weather professionals) out there who really want a storm to develop just to get their rocks off. I'm not suggesting they're hoping for devastation, but that's the end result of any storm like this that makes landfall. Take this post from gulfcoastwx.com this morning:

I am strapped in and in for the long hall this is going be interesting to say the least. Why do we have model it's been so crazy!!! This is why I love weather and how unpredictable it is. And the fact they have something brewing behind it!! Oh boy. Got my soda and popcorn!!!

If nothing develops out of these two systems this person is referring to, he/she is going to be genuinely disappointed. While the rest of us wish hurricanes would cease to exist. Sorry, I just have a problem with actively rooting for potential natural disasters to form.

This was the 6z run of the GFS:

It basically had the storm do a counterclockwise loop there for 24 hours and then do this:

Sure, but how does any of that make sense in this thread? That guy has made drive-by posts like that multiple times in this thread. To my knowledge, no one in this thread has expressed excitement about the development of the system.
