I think there may be a good chance that Stone did it

What would be Stone's motive?

Jealousy because he's fricking a nasty fat black hooker or maybe it was all part of a plan to land a spot in a big trial. I don't think he did it though.

It's a ridiculous theory but here is the motive if Stone was the killer
quote:

Stone is the killer. In murder shows, you always see the killer in the first episode, this just happens to be Stone.

Here are some examples as to why JS is the killer.

1. JS knew Andrea from representing her. She owed him money that he turned in for sex. That night, she had Naz with her and JS killed her for it. This is evidenced in another episode where JS sleeps with his client.

2. JS kept the cat as a trophy. This is his reward for killing Andrea. He took it in to be held to see if police needed it. When no, he claimed the cat as his.

3. JS is playing cover-up. He took a deep interest in Naz's predicament because he caused it and even advised Naz to "shut it." JS noticed Naz from the the Night of murder and took the case to be much closer in the investigation. Remember, JS charges $250 down, but only collects on about 50-60% of his owed billings. One specific instance in where JS is covering up his own murder is when he approaches Duane Reade in the back of the convenience store. Duane saw him the Night Of the murder. When DR sees JS, he runs because he knows JS was the killer and that he is there to kill him as well. This is evident in the chase sequence and the fact that JS is wearing surgical gloves to hide his fingerprints. He also wears surgical gloves when he speaks with Trevor at the laundromat. JS also advised Naz to eventually take the plea deal that was offered just before Naz claimed he did not do it. JS knew that if he accepted the plea deal, this would all go away. JS has been snooping around trying to craft other avenues of who did just by trying to connect stories like Andrea's step-father/financial advisor or Duane Reede. This is simply misdirection as JS is the actual killer and is trying to find a back-up plan.

4. JS and his feet. Maybe karma for the bad things he has done. Just a small connection, a trip to the beach can heal eczema.

5. JS hired a CSI investigator for a "flat rate." The "squirrels blood" that was found outside could have been JS.

6. JS knows Freddy or is coercing Freddy into making Naz look as bad as possible in jail. This will aide in the conviction of Naz or Naz will do something entirely different to get stay in jail for a long time. Freddy is getting directions from someone, and I haven't put any connection down besides JS has bet on sports and maybe knows Freddy from that capacity.

There are a couple other things you can sit and point out that connect JS to the murder. As much as I don't want to believe JS did, this show is designed to make JS very sympathized figure. This misdirection could lead to a massive payoff in the end. Episode 6 was the prosecution, Episode 7 is the defense, and Episode 8 is the truth.
