Guice clocked at 4.28/4.32. Dangerous. Put him in the slot (in some formations). Send Guice in motion on jet sweep. When running zone to LF7, you have the option of giving to either one on the same play. It's 3 plays in one. QB can run, or give to either of the best runners on the team. Bama did it in the 2nd half last year.

Guice is not better in the slot than our top receivers. I like that 3 play series that you mentioned but the first play has to work to expand it. It could work but having those two almost certainly draws the defense's attention. They could run decoy stuff but the defense is already paying close attention. I can see using it in one game but unless we change to a spread rushing attack, i dont see the point of wasting practice time on a gimmick formation, for more than a week.

I agree, but it's not gimmicky. And I'm not suggesting that he replaces a slot per se. It just a package. You could use Guice at any of your skill positions (except QB). Move him around. Make them account for him. I do agree that it's gimmicky if you're not going to build off it. But there is a balance between spread and power concepts. Hopefully we have the right recipe this season.
