I don't know how they can drain oil in 5 minutes, do they pump it out? My truck takes a lot longer than 5 minutes.

Yes. They vacuum it out and pump in the new. $38 and top off my fluids in under 10 min. Worth it to me these days. But there was a time when I had a set up(ramps and catch Basin etc) in my garage to change both cars' oil.
Tldr : not a scam for average vehicle oil change.
