This show ran for 14 seasons on VH1 Classic. It was cancelled in January.

I liked the show and wish it wouldn't have been cancelled. Anyone has seen it, what is your opinion of the show?

I didn't watch every episode, but they had some great musicians on.

I was listening to Eddie Trunk on Sirius last week and he said he is working on a pilot for a new show. He said fans bombarded MTV when they realized the show was cancelled. He can't use TMS name but sounds like he is rolling with something new with the same format.

And if you don't have Sirius, you should get it to listen to his show. He does 4 hours on Mondays and talks to the same people that he had on TMS all the time. Last Monday it was Don Dokken talking about the Japanese reunion shows Dokken is doing. Good stuff.

I don't listen to metal at all but I will usually watch this show if I'm flipping through the channels because it's entertaining. I like the segments where they rank certain things like lead singers, guitarists, and so forth and the crowd will cheer for each one and then they somehow arbitrarily agree on a top five.

The show is cool. I am not a fan of the Don Jameison guy, but I like the other two.

The show brings back the people who were drowned out in the 1990's such as Banali, e.g. I like that it's a tribute to the people we never forgot, but the music industry did.

I think Trunk can launch a very successful show.

* I think Richard Blade needs to do this for the first wave. I love metal and I love British new wave equally.

I'm not a huge metal fan, but I always watched the show. Learned a lot of rock history and got into a few of the bands mentioned.

Eddie has a blog and a podcast (interviews with music folks), and he is active on twitter.

He has mentioned that he is working on trying to get a new show something like TMS, but nothing is announced yet.

The show kept rock/metal music out there while letting people know that the music wasn't dead.

They were really good at exposing new music to the public that watched them.

The best part of TMS is when Eddie Trunk goes ballistic about the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, like it really matters or soemthing
