Maybe I'm an idiot or maybe these are smaller ships than I'm imagining, or maybe both, but there is WAY more traffic on the Amazon River than I would have ever thought possible. In fact, South America seems to have more significant inland shipping than most other continents.

It also gives you a little bit more perspective on how crazy it is that Malaysian Air Flight 370 was never found. The ships in that area are everywhere and nothing ever came up.
