Copy/Paste issue with Hangouts on the computer

Starting last week i was no longer able to copy/paste things into google hangouts (computer version). Couple other people have told me they have the same issue.
Anyone guess as to why that is?

Restart the extension?
I just copied and pasted a link into mine and it worked without issue.
