Sorry if it has been covered, but anywhere in Hammond ?
We are trying to coordinate a load of random goods like bottled water, toiletries etc. friend s bringing from North MS and wanted to bypass big charities if possible.

A group up here is collecting gift cards for Lowes, Wal-Mart, Bed Bath, etc. to send to colleagues in BR and Laf. areas.
Are the stores in the affected areas well stocked? I'm happy to send cards rather than actual items, but I want to make sure folks will be able to use them right away.
Sometimes the shelves get stripped during disasters.
