We actually have the right one already, he wears #9.
As for the future We know very little about Grayson. You can't move on to a new QB before you know about the one you just took. For all we know, Payton thinks he is the right one.

You know that, I know that, but Loomis evidently doesn't know that and at the rate we're going Brees won't be here next season so if ever there was time for the GM to show some foresight it would've been in this year's draft.

We really do not want to get into a who's who list of players Saints should have drafted over the last 3 years.
However out of all of the potential prospects...Dak is probably the one I would pass on a 100 times over by comparison.

I wanted Denver to draft him. I've always liked Dak Prescott. Good mobility, strong arm, OK accuracy and seems to be a good leader and locker room presence. He actually showed really good pocket awareness tonight against a good pass rush.

I think Grayson made similar throws that Prescott threw.
I won't know for sure until we see him play in a regular season game to see how he handles it. So not sure yet.
