Con---you have to go pick it up every time a storm approaches

Con---your insurance usually asks where you store it. If you put Venice, the premium will be higher

Con---if you do any work on it yourself, you have to drive all the way down to perform it

Keeping it down there makes it easy on the drive down and back, but that's about it. You still have to trailer the boat to the launch and launch it regardless of where it's stowed. So in reality you are only saving yourself whatever inconvenience is associated with the tow.
