I've got a dozen other calibers to kill deer, but this is for my 7 year old to hunt with. He's moving up from a 223.
Need what's best option for hunting not what other caliber should I get.

for 300blk best option would be supers with a hunting bullet.
7mm-08 or two forty tree would have been a more proper caliber to move into IMO.
