I really wanted to hate this movie and I tried my best to do it but really it's not deserving of any hate whatsoever. But it's not deserving of praise on the level deadpool and GOTG got.

It's a movie that while it's pretty entertaining and good time waster, it really isn't some watershed movie. While it definitely had some pretty funny moments, it wasn't deadpool when it clearly tried to be just that.

The editing and cohesion was kinda funky in some places but that was prominent in the first half but not so much in the second half although the big boss battle in the end was kinda dark to see.

I feel like the Villain was just completely wasted and shoehorned without any development whatsoever and just went on a typical traitor story. The acting from the villain was kinda forced and too overly enthusiastic and acted like a disney villain.

I first thought Harley Quinn was going to be a huge let down early on but she pulled herself through nicely in the second half and finished strong. But it wasn't quite the homer we all thought it was going to be and that's a missed opportunity. Leto is definitely serviceable as the Joker but he clearly is a step down from Heath Ledger although his screen time was limited in this movie so he was never really fleshed out.

The other members of the Suicide Squad was definitely serviceable but it was really the show of deadshot, harley and the rest. None of them were really fleshed out as much as those two.

This movie really missed a huge opportunity to showcase Batman from a criminal's point of view and show just how terrifying and sneaky he really is and really drive home the point why the criminal element is scared shitless of the Batman. He was way too visible.

I know this really doesn't matter but there is no fricking way they could build a runway down in Terrebonne that has enough hard soil and sediment to support big arse cargo jets. It was funny to watch.

All in all, this movie was neither terrible nor good. It was the very definition of mediocre and serviceable. Good time waster on a sunday afternoon in the offseason but really nothing to write home about.
