If you are playing Deus Ex for combat, you are doing it wrong.

The animation move in the last game where you impaled people's heads with your bionic arm and spun them around was one of the most incredible things I've seen in a video game

I played and beat the last game at least 5 times, playing a different way each time.

Yes but it really took me out of the game. I'm an OG Deus Ex fan but that game played and felt different from HR.

It's easier and more fun to stealth around, hack, and go invisible then slit someone's throat quietly and drag them into an air duct.

Steath wasnt done all so well. Felt unnatural compared to games who did it well like Splinter Cell and Hitman.

It has been so long since I played the original Deus Ex or its sequel, but I felt like Human Revolution missed the boat on what Deus Ex was supposed to be. The game advertises the ability to play how you want yet the deck is heavily stacked against any other play style aside from stealth then you have pretty significant XP bonuses associated with finishing a mission without killing anyone which seems to clearly favor one style of play over another.

Then you have PS2-era animations which I won't go into
