Not only does trading for Faried wipe out your cap space like you said, but it also takes assets like the Philly 2nd which you might need to move Asik to free up cap space. It's going back to Win Now. They just left the dumpster fire, keep running and don't look back.
Hopefully this is Demps doing his former assistant a solid and looking like an interested buyer or trying to facilitate like Ballhawk suggested.

I'm honestly shocked people wouldn't want Faried if it took Evans ( he's gone after this season anyways) a 2nd round pick, and Diallo. Really blows my mind.
