Bama fans will take this as a slight, but it really is a compliment:
If Bama can make Richardson look as good as he did, I would never trust drafting a Bama rb Some are legit players(like Ingram), but with their talent disparity at nearly every position, it makes it impossible to truly evaluate their running backs

Why did you skip Lacy for Ingram?

There are basically 4 Saban Alabama RBs that have made it to the NFL. Ingram (solid career), Trent (bust), Lacy (solid career so far, to be determined if the first two years (good) or last year (significant step back) are the true tale) and Yeldon (decent start in his rookie season). Last two guys were second round picks. Basically 1 out of 4 that was a total mis-evaluation so far. That's really not that bad, at least not as bad as perceived on this site.
Henry will be added as another second round pick this year so we will have another reference point soon.

Sounds like you're describing USC and quarterbacks.
BTW, running backs who want an NFL career should come to Cal:
JJ Arrington
Marshawn Lynch
Justin Forsett
Jahvid Best (career derailed by concussions)
Shane Vereen
CJ Anderson
Daniel Lasco (just drafted, career TBD. He's the guy who had huge numbers at the combine.)
