But not the same means to take advantage of said opportunities. It's not a level playing field. Life isn't a level playing field. Some will have to apply themselves more than others and/or have some fortunate breaks to achieve similar levels of success.

And that's ok. If everyone had the same starting point and low/no obstacles to success, there'd be far less motivation to better oneself.

Agree, but...

This makes up for that IMO. I would agree that Donald Trump's kids had a leg up on most everyone else, but you see stories of kids coming from very poor situations getting college scholarships, playing at Carnegie Hall, etc.

Do some of us have to work harder than others, yes. But that is all it takes is the desire and will to make yourself better. In that sense, it's pretty level to me.
