Costco bacon is the $hit. Example, try the prime rib I wrapped up with it and grilled:
Thick as hell applewood center cut.
Even after grilling it is still thicker than most thick cut bacon before cooking. Some of it came off after grilling:
ETA: I usually buy Woodford and Blanton's (when they have it) at Costco. I will try the Kirkland brand now that a few have sung its praises. I try to always get my gas there.

The Kirkland thick cut bacon is great IMO.
Two 16 oz packs for $10. You can't beat that. That saves me like $10/week alone
