I own a 3182.BO, definitely tough enough to survive most things which is why I figured heat would be the culprit. You are definitely going to need to option for something that has a bit of mass in the case to handle the heat but the trickier part will be finding one with a quartz movement that doesn't use at least some plastic either to fill out the case, frame the parts, or used to cushion the movement from shock.
