Unless there is software proprietary to the Mac, you can definitely get more bang for the buck with a PC. We build our own computers and like installing high end parts like video cards for gaming, etc. The Mac OS is nice but it takes some getting used to if you have been using a PC most of your life. I just wouldn't be willing to pay more the same level of hardware that we install in our PC's.
