I suspect that whenever someone goes into a Hollywood creative meeting and they haven't come up with anything original, they just blurt out "Remake movie X, but change the races/genders!" Then everyone in the meeting is afraid of being un-PC, so they all just nod and agree with the plan.

Sounds like a South Park episode, perfect for Randy to show up of course. This shite really is out of hand though.
