I guess I fish deeper water with more current than most of you.
Large circle hook
12-36 oz sinkers depends on current
3' of 250 lb leader about 20" from hook use a crimp then a bead then sinkers then another bead and a heavy duty swivel.
I like as much weight as I can get so the bait goes where I want it but where the current takes it. This is all connected to 80 lb braid.

This is my exact setup also. I've had people tell me it was overkill with the leader but I don't like losing any fish.
