Seriously considering one. How much can you honesty cut with one battery charge? Any other drawbacks?

My neighbor has one and it is so quiet. I can't even hear it when I'm standing in the front hard while he's mowing.

Don't worry about recharging time. It should charge back up with time to spare while you take a break to blow your boyfriend.

The new Lithium Ion ones look promising. The thing has more torque than a gas mower of comparable size. If my OT Baller yard wasn't so huge I might consider it but my yard guy says no way.

I thought about getting one but opted for a self propelled gas mower since my front lawn has a pretty steep incline

A friend has one but his yard is the size of a postage stamp. I pay someone to do mine now. It is too damn hot here in DFW.

Would probably be fine for a small yard.

I have one - the Ego. You get about 45 minutes to a charge, so it's big enough for an average sized yard. Also, it's so light, I get my 6 year old to cut the grass. He would not be able to handle a gas mower for at least another 4 years.

I have a yard machine, came with 2 batteries. One battery will cut the front and sides for me and I use the second one to do the backyard and still have charge left. Normal size subdivision yard... Beats having to head out and get gas. I'm happy with the purchase

I just finished mowing my yard with my self-propelled gas mower, weed eating with my gas powered weed eater, and blowing off the driveway and street with my gas powered blower. The neighbor that drives a Prius started mowing his yard with his electric mower and is still mowing. My yard is about 20% larger than his.

I have a 40 volt electric trimmer that works great.

But an electric mower just cant get the job done in south LA unless your yard is tiny.
