Thing you learn on the OB:

Almost every thread that starts with "Pic of a huge _______, killled in ___________ that my _______ sent me", is almost always fake or have been mislabeled down the line.

Huge hog pics/stories always have something more to the story. Basically a truly wild boar that can only eat things off the land and has to chase sows and fight off other hogs doesn't get the nutrition to grow into massive proportions.

There is a really good interview Steven Rinella did with ranch manager, wildlife biologist and hog trapper Ben Binnion. He explains the hogzilla phenomenon in detail. If there was ever an authority on wild pigs, Ben Binnion is the man.

It's actually a two part interview with the first half discussing his success in growing some of the biggest whitetail deer in all of Texas.

I always think of the pic of the "gator" with a deer in it's mouth, which was taken on Caddo Lake, Lake Bruin, Lake St. John, Bistineau, and/or the water body closest to where you live in LA.
