Look at the Beretta A300 (3" - $650) or the A350 (3.5" - $1000). Unless you hunt a lot of geese you probably don't need the 3.5" capability so I would lean to the A300. It's a bare bones gun (compared to the A400 anyway) but it shoots well and is extremely reliable.

I agree with the A300 outlander . The one I shoot has done me right .
