My biggest question is about Hopper's daughter. They made mention of El's hair and wondering why it was short. It wouldn't surprise me if they used child cancer patients (like Hopper's daughter) as test subjects for their experiments. Honestly El looked like an older version of Hopper's daughter, so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if El was actually his daughter, or if not, that she was one of the first 10 before Eleven came along.
This could explain Hopper bringing food and things to Eleven in the woods, and being willing to work with the government, if his daughter survived.

Didn't we see Hopper's daughter die in a flashback though? I guess it's possible that somehow the equipment was rigged to give a false notification of a dead pulse, but I'm not sure I'm buying into that theory.
