If this has been discussed, I apologize, but did it look like Hopper was looking at a large, recently cracked egg when they were in the Upside Down by Byers Castle? I thought it was, and I wonder if that will be more of a factor in season 2.
I do like the idea that Eleven created the monster, but I wonder if the monster was using the stolen kids to feed some sort of offspring. Will still had part of it stuck in his body, so he was able to go to the Upside Down spontaneously in that last bathroom scene.
Also, one small thing that bothered me was that the bad men killed the restaurant owner without a second thought, but they let Hopper go and just bugged his house. Now, maybe that will come full circle in season 2, but I just thought the two incidents didn't fit together.
