Education cannot be fixed until the family structure is fixed. You could have the best teachers in the world with the newest technology and kids would still act like cretins if they are getting no discipline at home.

Isn't there a bill right now were budget cuts can only be taken away from Education and Health Care in Louisiana? If so, that needs to change quick.

"Fixing" New Orleans is an oxymoron. If you fixed it, then it wouldn't be New Orleans.
Hipsters are moving there because it's New Orleans. Tourist go to visit because it's New Orleans. Those people don't want it to change.
People who live there and complain about it need to move, or get used to it. New Orleans can't be changed and shouldn't be changed.
What reasonable people call a shithole of crime, dirt, corruption, and seediness, others call home.
