They match up well against LSU because they're extremely physical just like us. That's their HC's philosophy. They also give us their A+ game always since it's a big rivalry for them. Bad ingredients. It's always a dangerous game. If you want to beat LSU you cram it down their throat with the run game. Not a coincidence we gave up like 60% of our rush yards on the season allowed on defense in a 3 game spread. All loses. That's the formula to beat LSU. Run it right at them and keep the defense off balance. Being one-dimensional it doesn't matter if you have an all-world QB throwing all over us they're going to make plays on the ball eventually. Nobody can match up with LSU and outclass us with a one-dimensional pass team because they can't get past our athletes. You can do it with a power run game though. Luckily for us Sumlin is too much of a dumbass to figure out this formula which is why Lesticles loves making him his bitch. Sumlin thinks he can just spread LSU out and throw on us. You play like that with LSU's athletes they're bound to win which is why I wasn't worried about TT in the bowl game. You can spread us out but the only way it's going to work is you have to commit to the run. Freeze understands that which is why Ole Miss whipped our arse too. Spread teans are not our concern. More traditional power teams are. I'd be concerned about Bama, Arkansas or even to a lesser degree, Wisconsin. Any major opponent we see this year where they're committing to the run early and being successful with it...LSU is in trouble. We've been lacking a dominant DL since 2011 and that's the formula that beats us. Hopefully we have a dominant DL this year so we force teams into the strength and teeth of our defense which is the secondary.

That can change this year. TV getting in backed with Big Ed (crossing fingers on the Clearinghouse) R. Lawrence and Dev White assisting Beckwith with manning the middle behind the big uglies will most certainly change the dynamics. They took advantage of our lack of depth on DL in recent past. In the future their power run should be contained.
